After graduating from Bowdoin College in 2018 with a B.A. in Romance Languages & Literatures, Cesar spent a year teaching English abroad at a public high school in the Lombardy region of Italy. Upon discovering his love for teaching World Languages, he went on to pursue a teaching credential in Languages Other Than English (Italian) at the California State University of Long Beach. Although his studies were interrupted by the pandemic, he obtained a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification in the hopes of continuing his career path in education.
