Dr. Scognamiglio is a researcher at La Sapienza in the department of Mechanical Engineering. She holds a joint Ph.D. in Physics (Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis, France) and Mechanical Engineering (La Sapienza University, Italy). After a M.A. in Nanotechnology and a B.A. in Mechanical Engineering at La Sapienza, she focused on experimental research carrying out interdisciplinary projects where physics, engineering and biology are combined to realize engineered biochips for drug delivery studies. In addition to her research activity, she has been Teaching Assistant in Thermodynamics at Temple University of Rome.
