Francesca Romana Lenzi phd, MA is associate professor in General Sociology at Università degli Studi di Roma Foro Italico. She is now faculty at Temple University (Philadephia-Rome), at Pontificio Atenaeum Regina Apostolorum and at Unitelma Sapienza University of Rome. She has a PhD in European History (Sapienza University of Rome) and hold courses at LUISS University of Rome, Perugia University (Narni) and Sapienza University of Rome. She was professor at European University of Rome. She has a MA in International Relations (LUISS University) and a bachelor degree in Psychology and social processes (Sapienza university). Her main research fields are related with sociological theory and quantitative/qualitative methodological analysis applied to sociology of the city, health (prevention) and lifestyles (urban health, nutrition transition).

Research Overview

The publications of Francesca Romana Lenzi (72 publications), are devoted to implement the role of the sociological theorical framework on the interpretation of some topics of interest of this research. Eight (8) of these publications have been published in class A reviews, Six (6) are books (of which 4 monographies).

Specifically on urban health, as member of data analysis board of the Health City Institute, she joins researches on these topic, even participating to the Roma Cities Changing Diabetes Report 2020. Her skills are devoted to data analysis and sociological theorization of stigma/labelling processes in the city and urban health even related to the pandemic  (p.e.
