Maria Lorenz, Professor of Instruction in Mathematics, is visiting from Temple University’s Main Campus this semester.  She will be teaching the GenEd course Mathematical Patterns as well as Differential Equations, primarily for engineering students.   Lorenz will continue to fulfill her role as Director of Undergraduate Studies for Mathematics on main campus while she is here in Rome. She is the recipient of multiple teaching and mentoring awards including the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching.  Additionally, she been active in coordinating outreach events for middle- and high-school students.  Cooking, biking, swimming, and reading are some of Lorenz’s outside interests.
