Mark Barmak Shetabi is the Director of Tyler at Temple Rome, and Associate Professor of Painting and Drawing at Tyler School of Art and Architecture. He teaches Undergraduate and Graduate Art students. 

Shetabi has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions at venues including: White Columns, Ortega y Gasset Projects, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, Munch Gallery, Jeff Bailey Gallery in New York; the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.; Woodmere Art Museum, Fleisher Art Memorial, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Project Room, Jenny Jaskey Gallery, and Locks Gallery in Philadelphia; the West Collection in Oaks, PA; Ratio 3 in San Francisco; the Aidekman Art Center, Tufts University; in addition to numerous other exhibitions.

His work has been reviewed in publications such as Art in America, The New York Times, Time Out/New York, Red Hook Star Revue, The Boston Globe, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Weekly, Artnet, Artinfo, Art F City, and the San Francisco Arts Quarterly.

He is a recipient of a Pew Fellowship in the Arts from the Pew Center for Arts & Heritage.
