Interested in learning more about what it takes to apply to an American university? Join us for our info session Exploring American University Admissions hosted by the College Board and the Office of Overseas Schools at Temple University Rome Campus! Shawn Abbott, Vice Provost for Admissions, Financial Aid & Enrollment Management at Temple University, will be giving advice on how to navigate the American university admissions process.
Dr. Abbott has over 20 years of admission experience at American Universities. Prior to his arrival at Temple University, one of the top 50 largest universities in America, he was the Dean of Admissions at New York University and Director of Admission at Stanford University. This event welcomes students of any age and their families, who are interested in learning more about how to find an appropriate university for their education, how to prepare for and gain admission, and how to seek scholarships and other forms of financial assistance.
Joining Dr. Abbott is Jesica Umansky, an academic and sports consultant. Jesica works with European and international students who want to be student-athletes at US colleges and universities.
The info session will cover:
- The Application Process,
- Student Life,
- Financial Aid and Scholarships.
Guests will be able to meet other American college and university students and learn about a variety of American college and university options for study.
The presentation will be conducted in English but Italian speaking staff will be available to answer questions.
The info session will take place at the Temple University Rome Campus, Lungotevere Arnaldo da Brescia, 15 from 6:30 PM–7:30 PM and will be also live streamed on the Temple Rome Facebook page.
