Position Summary
The position of Academic Dean (AD) at Temple University Rome (TUR) reports to the Dean and Vice Provost for Global Engagement. The AD plays a central role in shaping Temple University Rome's academic vision, quality, and operations. Reporting directly to the Dean and serving as a key member of the campus senior leadership team, the AD provides strategic and operational oversight of academic affairs, including curriculum, faculty affairs, academic support services, and instructional infrastructure. The AD also serves as the primary liaison between the Rome campus and the Main Campus for academic and administrative units.

The AD is responsible for advancing academic excellence across all TUR programs, ensuring alignment with university standards, accreditation requirements, and institutional priorities. The role includes leadership in curriculum development and planning, faculty recruitment and support, student academic experience, and academic program assessment.

In collaboration with the Dean, the AD contributes to long-term academic strategy, including the development of new programs and the expansion of interdisciplinary initiatives. The AD also works across administrative units—including Student Life, Finance and Administration, Facilities, and Education Abroad—to support effective program delivery and an integrated student experience.
