Originally from the Boston area, Caitlin came to Rome as a newly-minted Harvard graduate in 1997 on an internship with an international school. Pursuant to her life-changing year in Rome (where she met her now-husband), Caitlin obtained her law degree at Suffolk University Law School in Boston, spending a memorable, stimulating summer at Temple Rome Law School. Since then, she has lived in 5 countries (Australia, Pakistan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Northern Iraq, the U.S. and back to Italy), working as a teacher, journalist and as a legal adviser for the United Nations (UNIFEM/UNWOMEN). In her current role as Associate Director at Temple Rome, Caitlin is responsible for implementing and updating all school policies, protocols and handbooks in line with Temple University, liaising with the Education Abroad office and Temple Counsel. Caitlin is developing Temple Rome’s Internship program, having brought in more than 25 new internship opportunities over the past year. Her other tasks include dealing with Human Resources-related issues, safety and security policies and updates, oversight of facilities, she serves as the ombudsman for faculty and student grievances, is a liaison to parents and alumni, and assists in updating the web content for the Temple Rome website. Caitlin has also been charged with stragetic development planning for Temple Rome, including new, innovative programs and ways to expand our reach to a wider studentbody and to continue to build connections between the city and people of Rome to our program.
