Jacqueline Slaby is an Alumni Assistant who works with staff on innovative projects that help Temple University Rome and also with students to enhance their study abroad experience. After graduating from college and working for the last couple of years, Jacqueline is excited to be back at Temple University Rome where they studied abroad for a semester in Spring 2014.
Prior to working with Temple, Jacqueline led the Department of Community Services as director for a municipal government in the States, where they oversaw the daily operations of planning, recreation, and inspections. Jacqueline continues their freelance work as a cartographer and graphic/website designer and currently holds a 6-year term position in public office as a Board Trustee of Battle Creek Public Schools in Battle Creek, MI USA.
Jacqueline is certified in Tourism (CTA, 2018), City Planning (MSU Extension, 2017), and Investigative Reporting (NECIR, 2016). Furthermore, they have been trained and continues to learn racial and gender equity informed-practices, (including past workshops through Kellogg Community College’s Center for Diversity & Innovation and NAACP).
Jacqueline holds a B.A. in Growth & Structure of Cities from Bryn Mawr College (2015) and a Master of City Planning with a concentration in Sustainable Transportation and Infrastructure Planning from the University of Pennsylvania (2016).
