Daniela Curioso

Daniela Curioso is Professor of Italian language at Temple Rome, where she also founded and coordinates the volunteer language-teaching program, the “Be a Tutor” program (formerly the Mamiani Project). This program now offers Temple Rome students the opportunity to teach English to Italian high school students at the Liceo Mamiani and at the Liceo Ripetta, a high school connected to the Academy of Fine Arts. This popular program allows Temple Rome students to gain insights into Italian language, culture and education first-hand. They also make friends with local students along the way and gain confidence through their leadership and teaching.

Curioso is also the co-founder of Italiaidea, an Italian language and culture center in Rome, where she was responsible for the development of programs for American study abroad campuses.
