Born in Rome, Prof. Dario Abbondanza is a Ph.D. candidate in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics at Sapienza University of Rome. He has taught the Engineering Thermodynamics course at Temple Rome, and has been a teaching assistant for the Analytical Mechanics course at Sapienza. His research field is in computational fluid dynamics and nonlinear solid dynamics, and his activity is focused on describing and understanding the phenomenon
of water bubbles collapsing near solid boundaries and damaging them. During his Ph.D, he has been a visiting postgraduate student at the University of Glasgow.
