Prof. Paolo Chirichigno started teaching Italian in 2005 for different American Institutions, at different levels. He is currently teaching Italian at Temple Rome University (since 2007), at Trinity College and American University of Rome.
At Temple Rome, he has been coordinating Cultural Labs, innovative tools of Italian Department that put in contact our students with different aspects of Italian Culture and the city of Rome. He has been coordinating Italian Department since May 2019.
In addition, in 2007 Paolo has co-founded a cultural association “Italiano per te” organizing seminars and workshops about teaching Italian as a second language.
Beyond Italian he has taught an anthropological course “Food and Culture” and he is currently teaching a Gen Ed course “Human Ecology.”
He has been attending several seminars and workshops of Dilit in Rome and SOAR (Student Oriented Redesign Project) Course at Center for the Advancement of Teaching (Temple Philadelphia).
More recently he has attended courses and workshops to develop online teaching skills.
In “his previous life” he has worked for International Cooperation, particularly with a development NGO VIS (Volontariato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo) in Angola.
