Valentina Folgiero

Dr. Folgiero has taught at Temple Rome since 2019. She is PI in the Department of Onco-Hematology at the Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Rome and her research regards mechanisms of resistance to therapy in the cure of pediatric cancer.  She is PI of a 5-year project on the involvement of RNA-binding protein in pediatric B-acute lymphoblastic leukemia coordinating a group of research. In the last year she participated as expert scientist in a EU project on the use of non-animal methods for biochemical research. She is reviewer for scientific cancer journals and she is now publishing a paper on the role of tumor microenvironment in the response to therapy of neuroblastoma.
