Girl with arms stretched out in front of the Italian coast

What made you want to study abroad?

I wanted to study abroad because I knew that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. Because what I wanted to do in the future included going international, I believe that this experience will open doors for me. Right now, I have an internship abroad but being here in Rome has allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and travel as well.

What do you like most about your classes at Temple University Rome?

I like how the teachers are nice and welcoming. Compared to the main campus, I feel I am a lot closer to here to many of my professors which is great.

What are you most excited to learn about while abroad?

I’m excited to learn about the Italian culture and how I can not only fit myself, but grow into a new environment.

What would you like to accomplish by the end of the semester here in Rome?

I want to see as much of the world as I can!

What do you hope to get out of this experience and how will it help you with your professional goals?

Being comfortable overall. By being abroad in Rome, I hope to adapt to new surroundings, introduce myself to places that I might be uncomfortable with and getting situated to it. Gaining that sense of adaptability and turning something that isn’t as foreign normal for me would be the ultimate goal.

What is the coolest thing that you’ve done so far while abroad?

I went to Monte Carlo and I played blackjack at the Monte Carlo casino. Everyone talks about the casino but getting the chance to play in a famous spot and dress up while being surrounded by friends gave me the opportunity to experience something cool.

What advice would you give to students thinking about attending Temple University Rome in the future?

Most kids are nervous when they think about studying abroad but they shouldn’t because it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and you should enjoy the moment while you’re in it – don’t be afraid!
