We commend Temple University's new 30 Under 30 Awardees for their outstanding accomplishments! These alumni have become leaders in their respective fields—innovators who are disrupting the status quo—all by the time they are 30. While each honoree and their work is unique, one thing they all share is a commitment to making the world a better place for everyone.
Two of the awardees are also Temple University Rome alumni so we would like to give a special shout-out to our change igniters Rachel Greenberg ’18, ’19 (Temple University Rome Summer 2017) and Benjamin Aitoumeziane ’20 (Temple Rome Spring 2019)!
Rachel shared her insight about her study abroad experience with us: "I studied at Temple Rome for a summer semester. It was truly one of the best experiences of my life. Not only did I get to take some GenEds in a place where I could actually apply the knowledge directly (i.e. art history lesson while looking at the ancient art itself), but I also gained a lot of independence and maturity by living and studying abroad. It helped prepare me for my adult life by reminding me that curiosity is a gift and something we should always strive for--I now make traveling abroad at least once a year a priority so I can experience new cultures and ways of life. I believe this makes me not only a better professional in the mental health nonprofit space, but just a better human and global citizen overall. Something a professor that summer always said was "All roads lead to Rome" and I hope that's true because I can't wait to return in the next few years."
