Pre-College Summer in Rome

Pre-College Study Abroad: Rome is an exciting program that invites students entering grades 10, 11, or 12 to travel to Rome, Italy to experience what life would be like as an undergraduate student at Temple University Rome. Students will live in onsite dormitory facilities in our incredible new location at the historic Spanish Steps in the center of Rome.

Home to one of the oldest and most prestigious US university programs in Italy, Temple University Rome prepares students to become global citizens by equipping them with enhanced cross-cultural, linguistic, analytic, and problem-solving skills.

Through this unique 10-day program, you will learn from Temple Rome faculty as a member of a small group of American and international students, using Rome itself as your classroom. You'll experience college level instruction with interdisciplinary, hands-on lessons and activities and discover why Rome is known as the Eternal City.

Deposit Deadline: March 15, 2026 or within 2-weeks of acceptance

Full Payment Due: May 15, 2026

Flight Departure from Philadelphia: Saturday, June 27th with arrival in Rome on Sunday, June 28th. 
The Program runs from Monday, June 29 - Tuesday, July 7, 2026. 
Wednesday, July 8, 2026 Departure from Rome to return to Philadelphia.

Temple Tuition Grant

Temple tuition grant ($1,000 per year for four years) is contingent on earning a B or better in the pre-college program “Temple Summer Academy” (Temple University, Philadelphia), or attending one of Temple University Rome's Pre-College Workshops or Temple University Rome's Pre-College Summer Program and then enrolling at Temple University Rome as a first-time, full-time freshman, and maintaining a 3.0 GPA and continuous full-time enrollment status.
