Since 1966 Temple University Rome has thrived in the Villa Caproni, along the banks of the Tiber River, just north of the Piazza del Popolo. As a campus of Temple University, located in Philadelphia, PA, Temple University Rome has evolved into one of the longest-standing and most prestigious American study abroad programs in Italy, into a dynamic center for the arts and culture, and into a meeting space for Italians and Americans and many others. As we approach our 50th Anniversary, Temple University Rome stands poised to move into new areas of study and new opportunities to connect Temple University to the city of Rome and its citizens, and to use its historic campus as a launching pad for creating global connections for students, alumni and friends.
