Weekend Trips

Wouldn’t it be nice to explore a different region of Italy, without having to worry about the headaches of planning and logistics? Each semester Adult Study Abroad participants are offered the chance to sign up for several weekend group trips (Friday-Sunday or Thursday-Sunday) entirely planned and operated by Temple University Rome. All you have to do is show up to the bus on time – we’ll take care of the rest!

Current destinations include Palermo with Professor of Anthropology Gregory Smith, Tuscany with Professor of Art History Rob Huber, and the Bay of Naples with Professor of Classics Benedetta Bessi.

Friday Trips

1 or 2 single day excursions are typically offered to each Adult Study Abroad cohort. Led by a TUR faculty member, these excursions explore nearby destinations such as Tivoli, Ostia Antica, and the Sicilian-American Cemetery in Nettuno. All trips include transportation, both morning and afternoon guided tours, and a lovely sit-down lunch. Additional destinations may be offered on a semester-to-semester basis.
