Students applying to the Temple Rome Entry Year Program must apply directly to the campus that they'd like to graduate from (Main Campus in Philadelphia, USA or Temple Japan) and specify in their application that they'd like to attend the Rome Campus for their first year.

The considerations and requirements for the Temple Rome Entry Year Program are the same as those of Temple University Main Campus and Temple University Japan.

How to Apply

Choose your track

The Temple Rome Entry Year Program offers two campus tracks: Philadelphia, USA or Tokyo, Japan. You should choose your track based on the campus where you would like to complete the bulk of your studies and graduate from. Be sure to select "Rome Campus" in your admissions application in order to be considered for the Rome Entry Year Program.

Switching Campuses After Admission

If you have already been accepted to Temple University and would like to change your campus to Rome, please email rome_entry@temple.edu so we can assess your eligibility. There are no extra application materials required. Admitted students requesting to start their degree at the Rome Campus must:

  • Be accepted into one of our eligible degree programs;
  • Be 18 years of age by the program start date OR have a legal guardian located in Rome.

The deadline to switch to the Rome Campus for admitted students requiring an Italian visa is May 1. The deadline for admitted students who do not require an Italian visa (including but not limited to EU citizens) to switch to the Rome Campus is May 20.
