From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Angelica Scotto is a Freshman at Temple University Rome, majoring in Global Studies. She is currently participating in the Temple Rome Entry Year Program where she will complete the first year of her studies here in Rome, and then finish her degree and graduate at Temple’s Main Campus in Philadelphia.
Angelica, being part Italian, decided to come to Italy for her Freshman year of college to explore her identity while taking advantage of living and studying in the Eternal City.

A Philadelphia native and Temple University graduate in accounting, Susan Cohen ’76 first studied abroad at Temple University Rome during the 1973-74 academic year. A college junior majoring in archaeology and anthropology at the time, Susan’s decision to study abroad in Rome was a natural one. A working commuter student in Philadelphia, Rome was Susan’s chance to have a real residential college experience, to study art history and archaeology first hand, and to see another side of the world...
Last week, one of our very own Temple University Rome students was surprised with a visit from Jeannie from The Ellen Show in her dorm room! Amber Mak, a junior Media Studies and Production major, says Ellen is her biggest source of inspiration.
She has been watching the show everyday since she was young, and she had written over 100 letters to Ellen. Because of Amber’s dedication, Ellen decided to surprise the super fan with a live stream and trivia game in order to win some money! Check out the segment here.
