Short Course with Temple Rome Faculty

Adult Study Abroad participants have the opportunity to supplement our base program offering with an optional Short Course taught by Temple Rome faculty from a variety of academic disciplines. Each Short Course meets once weekly for the duration of the 6-week program. While the new Short Course Catalog has not yet been finalized, potential options include “Neighborhoods of Modern Rome,” “Artists & Artisans,” and “Migration & Identity in Contemporary Italy."

Weekend Excursion - Sorrento, Pompeii, & Naples

Wouldn’t it be nice to explore a different region of Italy, without having to worry about the headaches of planning and logistics? Each semester Adult Study Abroad participants are offered the chance to sign up for a weekend group trip (Friday-Sunday) entirely planned and operated by Temple University Rome. All you have to do is show up to the bus on time – we’ll take care of the rest!

In one of our past programs we stayed overnight in the lovely coastal town of Sorrento while spending our days visiting Pompeii, Naples and Paestum alongside Prof. Anna Tuck-Scala

Friday Excursions

Temple Rome students traditionally undertake a day trip to Tivoli during the first few weeks of each new semester. Pending availability, Adult Study Abroad participants may be offered the opportunity to join Temple Rome faculty and our undergraduate students on this Friday Excursion. Additional destinations may be offered on a semester-to-semester basis.
