Angela Pagano is in charge of Institutional Relations for the Kyoto Club, Italy. Ms. Pagano has extensive experience in education. She has worked as a teacher in Italian High Schools for more than 20 years and has cooperated in special language teaching projects for children and adults. As a partner of the Publishing House Theoria, she published translations from English, Spanish and Catalan literatures. In 2004 she founded the company “Placet”, involved in food and language projects, created the on-line e-learning project ‘Teaching Italian through Mediterranean Diet; organized on-line e-learning cooking courses for prospective chefs and for the training of dining-room personnel. Mrs. Pagano has organized Italian Language and Cooking courses for Embassies and International Schools in Rome. She is the author of the Italian-English Dictionary of Italian Gastronomy, promoted by Alitalia, and of the docu-project I sapori della memoria, sponsored by the Municipality of Rome. She has collaborated as an author on English 24 and Español 24 courses for the newspapers Corriere della Sera and Il Sole 24 ore, and founded a website, www.lalinguasalvata.com, promoting learning languages through reading among children of the migrant communities in Italy.

From 2010 onwards. Mrs. Pagan has worked as an Italian language teacher for migrants in language centers and Italian public primary and middle schools. From 2015 onwards she has volunteered in European Projects Valuing and Valorising the Knowledge and Skills of people 80plus,  Mobility Scouts and Bridge The Gap! In 2020, Mrs. Pagano organized and presided over a two-day conference, titled, “Age-friendly Cities”, held at Temple University Rome. She currently volunteers as a translator for Amnesty International and as a reader for the recording project Il libro parlato, by the Italian Blind People Association.
