Prof. Barbara Parisi holds a M.A. in Humanities and Liberal Arts with a major in Pedagogy from “Sapienza Università di Roma”, Rome. Furthermore she holds two post-graduate masters; one in ‘Methodology and Teaching Practice’ from the same university and one in ‘Nutrition and Mediterranean Diet’ from the Università Degli Studi Di Roma ‘Tor Vergata’. Prof. Parisi teaches and lectures Italian Language, Italian Studies, Contemporary Italian Literature and Culture, and Italian Cinema at Temple University Rome, and at other American universities in Rome since 1999. As from 2013 she is also teaching a sociology course on ‘Nutrition’. She is the co-author of the Italian language textbook, ‘it’ and assisted students at NYU in Italian.
Parisi also composes music and lyrics for RAI films, has an album and several recordings on her name and sings with major Italian jazz musicians in Italy and Europe.
Moreover, she is a certified teacher (Federazione Italiana Fitness) of ‘Pilates’ and ‘Postural gymnastics’ teaching in several gyms in Rome.
