Bonnie graduated from College Misericordia in 1964 with a BA in history. She holds a Master’s degree in the history of art from Temple University granted in 1991.

Prior to beginning her graduate program, Bonnie spent a semester at Temple Rome in 1987. From 1991 to 2001 she was adjunct faculty at Temple University and Moore College of Art and Design. She also studied at the Barnes Foundation from 1984 to 1986.

Past board memberships include the College Misericordia Board of Trustees and Board of Directors of the Santa Fe Botanical Garden. Upon retirement, Bonnie served as a guide at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
