Maura Zerella holds a BA in Foreign Languages, an MA in Comparative Literature from Università degli Studi di Napoli “L’Orientale” and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Student Affairs and Campus Life that she recently gained from LUMSA University in Rome. She has been studying and working abroad in 2013, when she moved to London for an internship sponsored by the Erasmus Placement Program, and in 2015, when she left for the United States where she was a Teaching Fellow for Italian Language and Culture at Bowdoin College, Maine, for one academic year. After a few years working in the export sales field, her passion for higher education brought her to Temple Rome, where she started as a Student Life Coordinator.

In her role as Assistant Director for Student Life, with the help of the Student Life Team, Maura oversees all the aspects of student support, including safety, health services, housing, well-being, students’ engagement, and campus life. She is also the person in charge of addressing conduct and policy violations.

In addition, Maura serves as Temple Rome’s Deputy Title IX Coordinator, working closely with our Main Campus in Philadelphia to comply with Title IX regulations and to promote understanding and awareness around this important topic among the Temple Rome community members.

In her free time, Maura likes discovering new places, exploring etymology, shooting film photography, and reading poetry.
