Salaam, my name is Sumayyah Nabiyeva, a curious wanderer or “daydi” in the Uzbek language. I am a senior studying Architecture Design in Honors with minors in Nutrition and Art; ecstatic to take my studies to Rome, Fall of 2024. Enveloped in the vibrant textiles, rich hues, and grandeur architecture of the Silk Road as a rising designer has propelled my fascination of art and architectural design between the East and Western World. As a first-generation student, I am passionate and committed to opportunities where I am able to engage in interdisciplinary thought and learn however I can, wherever I can. Through the architectural studio in Rome and the countless adventures we are yet to embark on, I am delightfully impatient to immerse myself in a society where art itself was born.
