Mr. Georgiev is a businessman in the agricultural sector in Europe and philanthropist who has been supporting various organizations in health, education, sports, and culture. Mr. Goergiev is Chair of the Supervisory Board of First May/Goldene Muhle – a leader in the sunflower kernel market globally and the largest sunflower kernel production company in Europe. Mr. Georgiev is born in Silistra, Bulgaria, holding a degree in Economics in International Tourism. In 2020, Mr. Georgiev was recognized by his hometown with the “Honorary Citizen” award for his generous support of the Silitra hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic and continuous philanthropic support for schools, cultural centers, sport clubs, festivals, and more in the city. In addition, Mr. Georgiev has supported some of the leading educational institutions in Bulgaria, including the American University of Bulgaria, Anglo-American School of Sofia, New Bulgarian University, the Teach for Bulgaria Foundation, the For Our Children Foundation, and more.
