Studios Annex

Temple University Rome’s Studios Annex are designed to support immersion in the practice of painting and drawing. Expanding upon Temple Rome’s long legacy as a hub for the studio art experience in Rome, the Studios Annex offer light-filled spaces for students to develop their artistic voices. The Studios Annex features open work areas that encourage hands-on making, collaboration, and individual expression.

Just as importantly, the Studios Annex feature a unique exhibition space, The Window; a project space for students, faculty, and members of the Roman art community.  Strategically located at the street entrance of the Annex, The Window opens outward, a perfect place for students, faculty, and local artists to showcase their works.

This dual purpose transforms the studio into a dynamic environment where creation and display coexist, fostering dialogue, inspiration, and a strong sense of artistic community.

The Window programming features a continuously revolving series of mini exhibitions by Temple Rome faculty.
