Curriculum Vitae

Filippo Occhioni is enrolled as a Ph.D. student in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics at Sapienza University of Rome, where he conducts his research at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. After completing his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, he decided to continue his studies by pursuing a master’s degree in Nanotechnology Engineering, focusing on phenomena at very small scales. Building on this knowledge, he is currently involved in modeling the formation of bubbles and droplets, which arise from atomic-scale motions. His approach combines fluctuating hydrodynamics, through a diffuse interface model, with rare event techniques.

Since September 2023, he has been serving as a tutor for the Mathematical Analysis I exam in the Aerospace Engineering and Electrical Energy Engineering courses.
