Temple Rome alumni gathered last Friday at Bistro Romano in Philadelphia for a lively and heartfelt reunion. The evening was filled with laughter, shared memories, and stories of life-changing experiences from their time in Rome — all enjoyed over fine Italian wine and delicious appetizers.
The event brought together a wonderful mix of familiar faces and new connections. Among those in attendance were Temple Rome Dean Emilia Zankina, joined by Gianni and Maura from Temple Rome, as well as colleagues from Temple’s Education Abroad Office — including Maureen Gordon, Sarah Sequin, Sean Flenders, and Helen Zeidman. The celebration also welcomed former Deans Kim Strommen and Fay Trachtenberg, along with special guests from the Temple Rome Board of Visitors, who came together to honor the program’s enduring legacy.
The evening was a testament to the strong bonds and lifelong friendships forged through the Temple Rome experience. As alumni reminisced about their time studying abroad, they also looked ahead with excitement to the program’s next milestone.
Next year marks Temple Rome’s 60th anniversary, and plans are already underway for an even larger celebration. Save the date — you won’t want to miss it!
